Usually I won't give much thought about the furnishing and decor that my mum buys. Since well, though it was my home, it's obviously not my house. Whatever that my mum wants to buy or use, she makes the decision and we would just use whatever she decides on.

Now that we have our own house and home, we realized that deciding what to buy is really complicated and difficult. You have to consider the price, the style, the quality and the user friendliness. Especially while comparing the price, its often tiring running from place to place just to compare the prices and colour for comforters or lamps.

However, this must be done as the decision involves spending money and some items just stay with you for a few months or even years. Just like renovating houses, the owner must like the decor and features. Otherwise it just defeats the purpose of spending so much money to have your own house.

Boo hoo hoo~ Why am I crying? Crying because why didn't I come across this beautiful prom dress earlier? Though it was categorized under prom dresses, it definitely holds well as a wedding dress. Then I would have bought it as my wedding dress! Pair this elegant dress together with a bling bling pair of designer shoes and hey presto! How princess-like~ Its too late for me as I no longer have any proms to attend nor any more wedding dinners to hold (lolx) but its not too late for ya girls going for your 2009 prom dresses purchase~ Have fun shopping!

Lightings affect your mood

Recently I found out that the lightings, will affect our mood for the day/night significantly. Just like how pubs play with dim lights, skin care centre play with white lights for the professional look and furniture shops play with warm/yellow lightings for the homely look. We can do some planning for our homes so that we will always be comfortable and happy at home. There is a Chinese saying that means when things go well at home and a person is happy, and then the person can excel in other areas such as health and work.

For example, good vanity lighting can relax our mind while bathing or compliment us as we make-up for a dinner night out. Warm yellow lights at the corner together with a bean bag or a cup of tea can help us to de-stress from a hard day's work. People who love the Victorian or Vintage look can go for Progress lighting. People with unique collections like figurines or utensils can draw more attention to their prized collections with under cabinet lighting. Doing up our homes the way we love is very important as our homes should be the place where we belong, feel at ease and would love to return to. Hence it’s very important to plan before renovation or choosing the furniture and lights.

Blog2u is a service that brings together advertisers and bloggers. Now, whats so special?


Like I've mentioned before in Yebber and other places, blog2u is unique and I did not say this because they featured me. These are my personal experiences.


It tries to ensure the best for bloggers by providing payment on the spot ie, transferring money right into your account once the advertisement/sponsored post/sponsored reviews were put up.
"So what?" you say? Well, this goes to shows that blog2u trusted in the maturity and integrity of bloggers. That bloggers would not go against their words once money was received. Now this is important especially for us bloggers as a lot of people don't really think much of bloggers.


2nd, blog2u provides great support for bloggers. I don't know about advertisers since I am not one. But bloggers can be expect replies and responses, apologies and remedies within short time frame. Blog2u recognizes that without bloggers, whatever online advertising platform will not work well.


3rd, blog2u deserves respect. Not only does it concentrate on online advertising business, it also believes that bloggers can form a community through it to help people/organizations in need. Besides featuring advertisers and bloggers, it also features non-profit organizations and other means for people to do charity work e.g the China Earthquake Appeal


I say again, I did not write this because they featured me. Rather, these are my own experiences and feelings. No doubt there were some glitches in the past and things are currently not that perfect. There are still rooms for improvements like the no. of advertisers to increase and perhaps more types of business advertisers. However, those who take notice can see how blog2u really work to solve the glitches as well as improve themselves.

Personalized Baby Shoes

At this age, I can say most of my friends are prepared to get married and of course, giving birth. The headache that I have is of course the gifts that are appropriate for baby’s showers. Having not much of an experience, the best way is of course, giving money. However giving money may be practical, it loses the meaning behind. Flowers would not be a good choice as the baby or the mother maybe allergic to them. We can also choose to give baby items such as nappies, milk powder only that such gifts required some knowledge of what is the size of the baby or what milk powder can the baby take.

I feel that personalized baby items seem to be the best. Newborn baby gifts like personalized bracelets that the family can use or keep as memento or things like custom baby shoes with the baby's name and birth date on. Even after the baby had grown out of the items, they can still keep it for memento sake. Personalized baby shoes can also be for the elder babies who are going to Kindergarten as there won't be a problem of shoes mixing up as the baby now has the most unique pair of shoes that only the baby has! ;D

Suddenly PR4

When my blog was a PR3... I was wondering what's wrong with Google since my blog is basically nothing much and of not much importance except to me. Later when my blog's PR dropped to 2, I was like ok~ nothing much. But when it suddenly shoot to PR4, I wonder whether the PR is that accurate. But alls fine, whether my blog is important to Google or not, its a PR10 blog to me. ;D

Items came in 3 weeks firmly packed via courier I forgot it was UPS or what. Also came with some real cute stickers.

First thing we did when we received the clothes, we wash the clothes by first submerging it in a pail of water. As expected, the color ran. But that is understandable due to the color of the T-shirts.


Wore it today and walked 10 mins to the MRT station. Feels cooler to wear compared to other T-shirts. Comfy and cooling material and doesn't make my sensitive skin itch. Even my husband who doesn't like round neck Tees finds it comfortable and great to wear.


A real great buy and I absolutely recommend Threadless!

Absolutely love this chicken ham sausage dish. Bite into it and feel the juices flow out ;D


Didn't really like this mixed grill dish when I tried the beef in it. The saltiness totally covered up the taste of the beef.

A new way to earn~

Technical Training

With the boom in technology and the awareness of what technology can do, technical knowledge is becoming the next big thing. It’s needed in all companies whether big or small, whether in-house or out source. But there are so many types of technical fields and technical schools out there; it’s a big headache trying to decide which type and which tech school to go into. IT training schools, Network design schools, Database design schools, Web-design and development, Multimedia and graphics etc. If it’s my choice, I will go into Multimedia and graphic which sounds more interesting otherwise it’s E-business as we do have plans to go into business in the future. I'm sure that will help lots. People interested can go and search at tech training site where tech schools are categorized into fields and locations.

What game??

Well its this RPG 仙剑奇侠传4 (Chinese Paladin 4) that Dar bought for me that day we went to collect gown... He knows I just love to play game from the 仙剑 or Chinese paladin series.

Why do we see your Dar's head peeping out?

Erm... well thats because these pictures are screen shots and the game is only that big. It does not expand itself. And there are no settings to do it too.




This series of games required players to walk through maze after maze while fighting monsters. Challenging and the ending depends on how well you train your characters and how you walk through the maze. I find them more interesting than playing Maple Story (to be frank). The male lead is absolutely handsome too! Keke~~

This Sat morning, I will be leaving for KL for my wedding event. Its a custom for Teochew parents to give their daughters 四点金when they get married. My parents who normally don't care about customs, decided to get me a set. I don't wear gold as they made me itchy. But I can't buy platinum too as in Chinese language, its 白金which also means the money you give to someone's family during the person's funeral to help the living with their expenses and to signify the visitors care.


But they decided to buy the jewelery even if I am just going to keep it in the drawer. And we heard from the jewelery shop's keeper that my parents have to give their son-in-law a gold ring. I don't know whether that is true or the keeper just decided they need my parents to spend more there. (Any Teochew-ians to enlighten me?) But anyway, my parents did buy a gold ring for him. (which is too big)

And lastly, today's update (Mar 6) which will be the last for the week as I won't be back in Singapore till next Tues.

Had dinner at Sakae Sushi. And went about our ways to buy things in preparation for Sat and Sunday. I was like getting sad and grumpy as I thought

"huh? Thats all for my birthday??"

So as I queue up to buy bubble tea, I was suddenly greeted by a man holding a bouquet of sunflowers in front of me. Its Dar! And my favorite sunflowers! For someone who is into practicality and had to buy something I use/want (oh well... its the embarrassment as well)... buying flowers is a big project~~~


Although compared to previous years birthdays, this seems like very small and simple. But that's ok~~ we had been very busy at work, preparing for wedding and gaming. Dar just changed his job and although he did not mention much, I know he is quite stressed by it. Some more, we can't really afford a big celebration. Unless someone *hint hint* is willing to sponsor, my Paypal account is awaiting~~~

Lighting up your home

When one moves house, choosing the lighting is a big headache. Its no longer the century when lighting means a lamp shade over a bulb. Nowadays, lights come in different shapes, uses and sizes. Like using spot lights to enhance a certain corner of the house, Lava lamps for the romantic feel, chandelier for the grandness and fine art lamps to enhance the theme of the house. I really like this frosted side glass lamp from Minka Lavery lighting, it has got this tinkle bell look that will fit into the theme of my house and the mini pendant shade from Forecast lighting will be perfect for my dining table.

However, one must be careful when choosing the lighting of the house as one need to consider not only how the lamp looks like but also the price, the voltage, availability of accessories, the usage and location of the lamp. A chandelier does not serve its purpose when put into a house of minimalist theme. A single light bulb certainly is not enough to light up the whole living room.

Its always good to make some comparison as different shops may offer different designs of lighting or different services. When we were doing the renovation of our house, we searched the internet for articles and ideas for lightings. We also went to more than one shop to look and compare before we settle on the final lightings. Though its troublesome to travel that way, making the correct choices makes all that quite worthwhile.

Advertlets down - I know I am late to blog about this but the main aim is not abt advertlets is my title too long? lolx!

Boring boring day! My life is like not so happening everyday ya know? I also have my stay-at-home-type-typity-type-on-my-keyboard times.

Today is one such day.

To tell the truth, I love to go out but I don't like crowds. I love to stay at home but I want something to do. Hmm .. contradictory? Not really but I am one such person who changes my mind and preferences rather quickly. You may say I am fickle but I am just restless and get bored easily.

What has this got to do with my post anyway?

Well ya see, besides those activities, I do regularly visit other bloggers' blogs. I do read those blogs I like and shun those I don't.

Even on my Entrecard sprees, I do read the random blogs I go to. At least the latest post.

So today, alone at home (and awake) I tried to visit some of the blogs I usually go to like mine! (duh~) Jojo, Dora, Janice, April, Xiaoboii, Trin, Bobo and Claire and lots of others whom I never mention here.

BUT~ I can't get to their blog today! (Cept for Trin and Bobo)

That's because Advertlets forgot to renew their domain and whenever I get to those blogs, I was redirected to the domain (main) site.

Even my own blog.....

So~ as fast as lightning or even faster~ I managed to take down all the Advertlets ad in both my blogs so that I will not lose any more new readers as readers usually get turned off if there is no convenience in reading blogs.

Those who happened to read this post and all the other blogs with regards to Advertlets, do please remove the Advertlets ads from your blogs until things can be resolved.

So I tried ways and means to edit my template and because my knowledge of html is limited, I soon grow frustrated going line by line... in addition, I was damn tired from the day's activities.. and had to find out about this thing at wat? 12am in the morning!


Bo bian, decided to change to Blogger's new template and use the standard template for the moment while I try to edit or do a new template or whatever.

*If by now you still haven see my new template, you should chk your eyesight*


So I chose this Bright! Fushia! Pink! template as blog skin. Partly because there is no purple template (why??) and I can give Claire a shock when she comes to my blog... I succeeded! Yay! But this is nothing to be happy about keke...

I was like trying to do up a template when I sort of got frustrated as I felt tired lately... my sinus seems to be acting up again as my life saving device (nasal spray) goes low in supply.


So I decided to keep this Bright! Fushia! Pink! template and continue to let Claire faint... further, there are feedbacks that this Bright! Fushia! Pink! template is nicer than the crowny one. The person also suggested I should choose green (why? why? 太路米*tell me* why??)

Its not very personalised now, the template, however I will to paste my photo all over the page! Wah Ha Ha!

Someone said my blog is full of adverts~ well duh~ my ads are not mainly for profits ya know... since there's space, my blog is based in black/white, some colours made it interesting. Even if no one click on the ads... who bother? I'm not dependent on the ads gain for a living ... further, the ads provides some details of stats of my visitors like

What Do I do?

My friend once saw my blog ... and she asked me : "为什么你们这些大学生都喜欢玩这种无聊的东西?" (translate: Y u all university under/grads like to play with meaningless blogging?) and I was like "...." din want to get angry at her and there is nothing to get angry about ... since she is not the blogging kind of person or even the internet kind of person, she won't understand ... but wat does she mean by 你们大学生?U mean only University pple can blog? Only university pple can blog about their life, take pictures, up load them on blog or talk about their feelings/research/likes online?


No lo Aunty ... there are University pple , there are poly grads or even Primary sch students blogging (hmm ok la she grad liao) .. and mothers blogging.. there are Bengs blogging ... or even Laozhabo blogging .. no offence to these pple I've linked up, including myself cos I am just trying to illustrate that blogging, can be done by all sorts of people, in any language and any country... as long as what they blog about, is what they really think/feel/researched (not copied hor~!)

My time spent on my blog is long .. yes ... I do agree... but because most of my blog entries are long, alot are filled with pictures ... hence my time spent on blogging ... is to prepare for the posts... e.g editing the photos ... choosing the photos that I can put online ... (hey not every damn photo can be put online ok? Those that protrayed me as short and fat will definitely not make it) ... further, blogging is not only for people to read. Its for myself... my family... where someday, I will read back my posts and be touched further, there are somethings that you just cannot bring urself to say out ... but they can be easily written out on blogs/paper etc....



Of cos besides blogging, I do have my own life.... for the obvious, I work, eat, sleep, do housework (I am a part time housewife too) wa hahaha

For those who don't know, its an online game, where players take up a character or so called jobs (e.g warrior, thief, magician and bow man) complete quests.... there are options to buy their A-cash or so call money where u can then change ur clothes, change hair colour etc ... so that you look unique from others ... but hey this is just a game.... y waste money on it right? so those 小弟小妹don't go and spend so much money on A-cash when u haven even started earning k? and don't be so yaya too ... cos its not ur own money anyway.....

This is a game where u hit 7 keys to the music, each key representing different notes.

which is quite similar to Maple, although I feel the game interface is not sophisticated enough..
the storyline and quests are more interesting than maple.....

Music~! Music is my life, I can do without the computer but please do not take away music from me.......................

MayDay and Fish Leong~! They are the 2 most unpretentious singers available.... ^-^b

Esp Mayday which although is a rock band, their lyrics are meaningful and alot of their songs are based on the reflections of life or their ambitions and hope like 快乐很伟大 or 一颗苹果 ... whereas alot of band today, based their songs on sex and gore or are simply too rock .. wonder how pple can hear the song with the lead singer screaming all the way... (@_@;)

Fish Leong ... has got the most 纯净 (pure) voice I've ever heard. She is the first singer who let me feel touched whenever I listen to her sing ... (yay~ going to watch her concert next mth~!) ┌(^_^)┘♪└(^_^)┐

And hey, I sing too ok~ not only in KTV, I sing in this choral group called Sounds Easy

Joined choir since P4 till now which is like woops almost 16years~! hahah... most people would have tot choirs/singing groups all sing Haleluia~ but LET ME TELL U .... you are WRONG! times have changed ... choirs/singing groups no longer stand there, not moving, just concentrate on singing like a log ... look at Swingle Singers, Young People's Chorus

very often ... We formed in 2002/2003 by a group of enthusias ...most of us are alumni of JJC choir .... and since we love to sing ... and would like to continue singing, we set out to form this group with our instructor June Lee as the head of the choir ... ( ^^)人(^^ )

Sad to say, as people grow up, they have things to overcome other than their loves and ambitions... and the obstacles are of cos the other halfs, money, studies and work ... so our group member decreases... as new people join, old people left ... but of cos, those who left, we give our well wishes... those who stay, we applaud (^з^)-☆ and wish for more performing opportunities and improvements...........

Community events such as Xmas caroling at West Coast, xmas carols at AWWA, Wedding singers like for FLF wedding and HH wedding, Commercial events such as Xmas at One Fullerton, Changi Airport and the more recent event at DXO ...

I don't do much donations (cept buying cards from Mouth and Foot Artists) or nor am I a good Samaritan. I don't donate blood (Not much to give myself) nor be a volunteer... but I am proud to say, I can make my own decisions with regards to my life... I have beautiful memories which I would like to keep track of ...and taking photos is one of the ways ... so is blogging ...

Keep on blogging and keep blogging original .. ;) great now I sound like some embassador wannabe! ahahaha
